Our February membership meeting is on Sunday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Rum Village Nature Center in South Bend.
Our speaker will be Dr. Joel Ralston. Dr. Ralston is an Associate Professor of Biology, and Chair of the Biology Department at Saint Mary's College. He will present some recent findings from his collaborative ornithology research with undergraduate students at Saint Mary's College in his presentation, “Thrasher Bills, Swift Roosts, and Other Student Projects at Saint Mary's College.” These include results from a study that examined how climate impacts bill shape and plumage color in North American thrashers, a student-led project monitoring Chimney Swift migration at a local roost site, and other ongoing projects. We hope you’ll join us to hear what Dr. Ralston and his students have been up to!
