Our first membership meeting in 2025 will be on Sunday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m. inside the nature center at Rum Village Park in South Bend. Our speaker will be Keshava Mysore, PhD. A longtime member of our local Audubon chapter, he is an Assistant Research Professor of Medical & Molecular Genetics at the IU School of Medicine here in South Bend. His program is about “mothing,” sometimes called “moth-watching” or “light sheeting.” It is a wildlife observation activity where people attract and identify moths and other insects at night, before then releasing them back into nature. Keshava will discuss the mothing event he held at our nature sanctuary earlier in 2024 and show some of the spectacular photos taken that evening. The general public is always welcome to attend our membership meetings. Bring a friend and enjoy some refreshments and treats while listening to our guest speaker. Hope to see you there!
